WANTED… A WRITER FOR A BOOK ON MY LIFE AS A CHRISTIAN MISSIONARY

Next month, it will be four years here in Reynosa Mexico for me. Reynosa is really a very quaint, peaceful place, for the most part.

Yet, as when serving in Asia, the brutality of "evil," is the same, in any place that one goes.

Violence here, by the drug dealers, was simply meet with a more violent force, below is the resulting carnage.

The military purpose is to kill and destroy the enemy.

My time  of the past, in the Military, was from 65′-68.’ Then upon leaving as an E-5, honorably discharged.

I had volunteered, to join the Army, and volunteer twice for Nam.

I haven’t thought about death, and destruction, for quite sometime.

I had made the decision to see these photos, normally I avoid them, for one of my students here, had them.

This wasn’t on the local news, the military had totally surrounded this group, with blocking off one entire area of Reynosa, the military commandeered street buses, in blocking all exits from this part of town.

Violence is not easy to look upon, and yet, it’s much more destructive, if one is involved in it, by accident, or otherwise.

Asia, and it seems like, the third world countries, are involved in violence, are, or, prone to it. The people have this disregard for life.

I have been fifteen times around the world now.
….

A Christ-less life, an abandonment of self control, of piety, virtue, of propriety of laws.

Leads to this violent path, here in this world now, and then, an eternal violence in the here-after.

As a Christian, when now looking at these pictures, I know that these, in these pictures, have meet exactly what they have lived, violence!  Their total disregard for society and it’s laws.

Yet, I know that each has a mom and dad, brothers and sisters, and the extended families. How, for the most part some of their families, will know of their deaths, while others won’t. Into a grave, they will fall, never to be seen again, never to be part of life.

I know of working in ministry work in the prisons, working with street gangs, Asia, sharing Christ, that it is this, that, that all need to be part of, of "Christ," and His followers, we can prevent such horrors, if we as a people, will humble ourselves and call on the Lord "Jesus." And in so doing, that we can have a relationship with our Heavenly Father.

That we can have a small part in helping those in their youth, before this violence catches them.

Upon looking at these photos, it is with much sadness, to see such human waste.

I would ask for your prayers, for myself and another, as we will be going into the local prison here, next month October, 2009. It’s population is around three thousand. I have the gentle peace of God, about this, and it is my sincere hope, that one will change, his life’s path, from destruction and grief, to love, forgiveness, and purpose.
